MIA (Environmental Investment Allowance)

VAMIL (Random Depreciation of Environmental Investments)

In the Netherlands companies are able to invest in the environmentally friendly Ener-Core Powerstation technology, registrated on the Environmental List 2015, number F 4583, with the associated tax benefits, by way of the MIA (Environmental Investment Allowance) and / or VAMIL (Random Depreciation of Environmental Investments) schemes.

The MIA enables you in case of the Ener-Core Powerstation to deduct up to 36 per cent of your investment costs from your taxable profit for an environmentally-friendly investment.

The VAMIL tax scheme enables you to determine when you want to depreciate 75 per cent of these investment costs. This means you pay less income tax or corporate income tax.

The investments that are eligible for MIA and / or VAMIL are listed on the Environmental List and all of them provide one or more environmental benefits. You may also request tax deductions for customised (generic) investments that result in environmental benefits. The Environmental List is updated each year. You can set off the benefit in your tax return.
